Customer: So can you tell me who pawned this stereo? Me: Nope. Customer: Why not? Me: Loans are confidential, I'm bound by law. Customer: I bet I can pull it from your mind! Me: . . . Customer: Hee hee hee!
Well recently I haven't been up to much aside from work as per usual. I did buy a new motorcycle which is fucking amazing, I'll put a picture of it after the cut. It's not that my old bike was bad, it was more of an issue that I am too tall. So the little bike got traded in for the big bike, and there was much rejoicing. Really that was my big news I guess, I can't seem to dredge anything else of import outta the ol' brain pan, so I'll leave you with picture fun time! ( N'yah hah! )
So I went to a fencing tournament at my home club yesterday, had a pretty good time but really exhausted myself. I chose to compete in two weapons, Foil and Epee, although I should have just done Epee it turns out. For one thing I kind of hate foil, and I completely over-exerted myself to get into the semifinals. I did finish third in Foil, beating another fencer from my school to get there who usually beats me with that weapon. But I gave so much in that bout that I lost 13 to 14 in my next bout (time expired) to a lesser fencer than the one I had just beaten. He also cost me a penalty point by stopping dead on the strip and turning his shoulder into me during my attack but the ref blamed the contact on me so what can ya do. So that sucked, and I was completely worn out at that point. Epee being my stronger weapon I just cruised through the opening bouts leading up to the direct elimination rounds, I think I won three and lost one or something. Unfortunately I end up facing the same guy from my school, and even though I'm tired he's not even close to me and I win 15-9. I do feel bad about putting him out in both events fairly early on. My next bout, I'm not quite sure how the guy made it out of the 1st round as I win 15-6, and he comments that I'm "such a foilist" which makes me laugh seeing as I rarely fence foil anymore. Maybe its how I attack, who knows. So that got me into the final against a guy who is actually really good. We stayed dead even through the first two periods, entering the final third tied 10-10. We exchange touches again to make it 11-11 and I just run out of gas. He gets the next three in a row on me and while I still fight on, scoring one more to make it 12-14 he finishes me off and I take 2nd. I could probably have won had I only fenced Epee, so maybe I should start selling my foil gear >.> In closing, I'm paying for my over zealous fencing today as I can't feel my thighs and my back is incredibly sore. Still, good times for all.
I realize it has been quite some time since I've posted anything on LJ, so I thought it time to stop by and ramble. First off I wanted to inform the folks we don't usually see that a few days ago myself and ultimatebeaver got engaged. We aren't really planning on having a ceremony as we both really don't care for them but we will probably have a large reception as partying is awesome. I'll update with more info as its available. Work has been good, the hours can be long sometimes but the overtime makes it ok. Really I don't have much else to disclose. I'm planning on going shooting this sunday for the first time in a long while, we'll see how that goes. err. I think I forgot super secrets I wanted to let you in on. Alas!

Started reading the Dark Tower series again, its been so long since I read the early books. I think it was middle school when I first picked up "The Gunslinger". So far enjoying it thoroughly. Fri, Mar. 21st, 2008, 07:20 pm O M G

Hello f-list, I was hoping you gentle folk could do me a small favor :D I'd like to expand my music library a bit so if you feel so inclined recommend me a song that you think I don't know that you believe I should have. P.S Shoot em Up is badass *munches carrot*.

getin aboslutely wasted at fiveish in the mornin is perfectly healthy. I assure you (>^_^(>O.o)>
So I decided to go back to fencing last night as part of my on going effort to stop being chubby :P I had a good time but it fucking kicked my ass pretty hardcore. My legs seriously feel like Jello jigglers. Hopefully I will have recovered some by tonight since we're going out for good drinky times and I'd rather not be this sore =O Maybe I ought to take a bath or something. Anyway, that's about the most interesting thing I've been up to (aside from working the Gun and Knife show over the weekend but you really have to be there to understand the kind of crazy that goes on) so I'll say ta-ta for now.

...and I figured I would share. A little history first, when I worked for Starbucks we received these little cards one week with little positive messages that we were supposed to give to co-workers when we saw them embodying these ideas. Of course, being a bastard, I laughed out loud at the concept. But it didn't stop there, no I went home and made these. I just happened upon them in a long forgotten folder of some of my old projects and felt I should share. Tue, Feb. 13th, 2007, 12:56 pm

Hallllooooo internet friends! How are you all tonight? I feel like shit am splendid! Went to see Children of Men with ultimatebeaver and Bobby, and it was quite the excellent movie. Very sad though, but well worth seeing... And that is, sadly, about the most interesting thing I've done lately! Am I not fabulous?! Well, I did watch this documentary on bears... In other news my paycheck this week is going to rock face, and therefore I shall be joining a gym! ...cuz I'm chubby =O 'tis true, since moving out I'm guessing I've gained around 15 pounds, all on my gut (daddy did always tell me to build a shed over my tools hurr hurr). But yeah, that needs to go. I've actually never been in great shape my whole life, I'd like to get back into fencing too. And I work in 5 hours! Envy me. Mon, Jan. 8th, 2007, 12:52 am
